... i'd like more help identifying the world famous, subtitles would be really helpful, unless we get to play name that oboist in each picture?

vb -- maybe Howard can clarify, but I somehow clicked on a link at the upper left hand side of his site, and got into a page where there was a slide-show of all his artist photos, with IDs.
Nice site, Howard. I especially appreciate the photos of oboists in action -- i.e., actually playing their instruments, rather than just posing lovingly with them. It helps me to get a better bead on the ever-developing embouchure issues.

I took the time to google the best photos (in action ones) but still didnt manage to pull off many good results. Happy to hear all your compliments! Will continue updating.

VB -- This time, I went to the TOP RIGHT hand side of the page, where it says "Slideshows" and has a little arrow. Click on that, and a drop-down menu appears. Choose "full view" from that menu, and you should get annotations (like cut lines) at the bottom of the page underneath the photos.

Hi Howard,
Nice job! By the way, the John de Lancie photo you posted is actually a photo of Jiri Tancibudek, dedicatee of the Martinu Concerto.
Sincerely,
Wai Kit Leung

Arh...Got that from the IDRS website!!! What the heck...haha....will do the correction today.....just came back from an orchestra trip to a secluded jungle like area called the tip of Borneo, and no, performing beside the sea in open air is no fun, but a well learned experience.
