Never buy ANY instrument without a trial period with "right of return."
Schuller made some fine instruments, though you must evaluate each instrument
on a case-by-case basis. I have had a couple of Schuller English horns that were "stuffy." I sent the instruments out for re-voicing, and upon return they played beautifully. Full automatic octave system is NOT recommended, except perhaps for a woodwind doubler having both oboe and English horn being full automatic system...
