Thank you for your feedback. I did pop the spring back where it belonged and didn't have any trouble at the performance. It does have a slight bend to it but is set for a maintenance check next week so I'm sure it'll get addressed then. I love the crochet hook idea - perfect for those tight spaces! Thank you again.
