Hello all,
I just am starting reed making "yah!" after fighting with crappy reeds long enough. Now I have a question. I have taken my staple, tied the cane on, etc, but I am confused on how to start making the heart and back scrapes. In the book I am using it says you need to start each scrape a bit towards the front so the reed gets thinner towards the tip... that is fine. The question is how to you scrape the oval type shape of the heart and back without removing material off the very edge of the reed...? Basically how to you make the curved part of the shape without scraping the edge of the reed off?
Thanks as always!
