It makes me glad to live where I do, where the daytime temperature variation is about 15C throughout the whole year!
Also, we don't treat our indoor air all that much (apart from some air conditioning on those 40C+ days). Doors and windows are freely left open and we don't use forced heat. That dryness I experienced indoors in winter when I was in Illinois affected me all over (skin, respiratory, etc), so no surprise it affected my reeds!
