I think we're getting somewhere. This thing looks very much like a Selmer Signet, but the key configuration doesn't match anything I've been able to find. Nonetheless, since Selmer made three grades of clarinet (110, Special and Soloist), I'd almost bet that they had a similar series of oboes at one time or another. If so, mine might fall somewhere in that hierarchy. The bottom line, at any rate, is that this instrument plays pretty well and is well-tuned except for being a few cents flat on the middle and high Bb - very tunable. Thanks, Chris for all of your comments and help. Now I can feel better about putting a fair value on the oboe and offering it up for sale.
