My thoughtful husband found for me, this year, "The Eloquent Oboe," by Bruce Haynes. It is the companion piece to the book he got me last year -- exact title escaping me this morning, but it was the newer compendium on the oboe by the same author, in the same Oxford series.
This new book is a *weighty* tome, though, both in content and in kilos. I would take it with me on my trip to visit my mother today, but it is so heavy, it might make my luggage go overweight.
