I missed out on a Fox 300 a while back when looking for an all plastic outdoor oboe, but soon found a Selmer 104 which is a plastic full conservatoire system oboe for £450.
So once I got it, I set to it to bring it up to the same spec as my Howarth S5 by adding a low Bb bell vent, low B-C link, remade the F key touch, added a retainer to the feather keys, an adjusting screw to the D#-E trill overlever, solderd an extension tab to the RH1 fingerplate, added a thumbplate and 3rd 8ve key and an adjusting screw on the top fingerplate, plus reamed the upper and lower joint bores out with Howarth XL reamers. Then completely repadded it with cork and leather pads as it had mostly skin pads fitted which I don't particularly care much for.
