Howarth model S20 oboe has left F and articulated low C# mechanism. The S20 does not have a "split ring D" for D#-E trill, and it also does not have an Ab-Bb trill mechanism.
I usually advise my clients, even beginners, to acquire an oboe with all of the requisite professional model model key-work if at all possible. I define "full professional model key-work" as being, to wit, at minimum:
left F key, F resonance key, "split ring D" key, low articulated C# mechanism, Ab-Bb trill. A 3rd octave key should not be necessary on a well crafted oboe, and low Bb resonance key on the bell may also be optional. I find that students make such
quick progress nowadays that they tend to become frustrated very quickly with instruments having less than full professional model key-work. High school oboe students nowadays routinely play the Dvorak Serenade Opus 44. Attempting to play this piece on an oboe without the benefit of a split ring D key for D#-E trill would be difficult and "trying" to put it mildly...
