I plan to make this one so it can be fitted or left without, so if it does cause any acoustic problems with certain notes, it isn't a permanent fixture so the oboe can be reverted back to how it was (apart from the extra keywork).

Ideally I'd prefer two bells - one standard and the other one a longer bell with two bell keys on it, but the barrel will take up far less room when being stored.

The low A key will be shaped like a clarinet speaker key (or an actual clarinet speaker key!) which is positioned with its touchpiece below the thumbplate and operated by the left thumb like the low A key on a bari sax.
