As I see it, I would pefer to spend a bit more on a good quality oboe that has all the features I will need in the future, instead of a crippled student oboe saving me a few bucks. Considering that the Larilee 400W is only $1995, I cant see a reason to not get into unless it doesnt sound any good.
Unfortuantely I live in Australia, and from my poking around in instrument stores, oboes are not that common, leaving me the only option to buy from abroad. So as I see it, research is the key to my purchase.
Reading back abit, I see that Corey purchased a Larilee 400W, could you tell me what your experience with it has been like?
