The Oboe BBoard

NEW to the Oboe board...but a long time perurser of the clarinet board. I'm getting back into Oboe & English Horn after several years and need some input. I have a Yamaha 441M (resin insert in the upper joint) and the keys "click and clack". I'm just testing the instrument to decide if I want to buy it and only got it last night from the previous owner, a student. I just wondered if the loud keywork is normal for a Yamaha or if this one just needs to have the corks replaced. I KNOW the Eb key is bent out of shape...and I can tell some of the cork pads aren't level (Low B and Bb). Has anyone else noticed this on a Yamaha or is it just this one instrument. No, this is not the only Oboe I'm testing. I have a Fox 330 that is just too small for my hands (it's out of the running)...but I also have a Patricola SB1 that I'm testing and REALLY like a lot.
Any input on the Yamaha 441 or the Patricola will be appreciated.
Thanks!!!
Mark
