I can empathize with this. Back in high school, I would work all summer refining my clarinet embouchure, and then have to chuck it all for marching band. Marching band is, IMO, an abomination, and deleterious to the refinement we all seek in our tone production.
But, there you are.
One good thing about playing sax is that it requires a looser embouchure. Start from there. Oboe doesn't really require a tight embouchure, either. Build on the idea of keeping your mouth as open as you can, with your lips just cushioning the reed, so that you are letting the reed itself do the work. And redouble your efforts to keep your breath support (aka abdominal muscle support) engaged.
You might find that your oboe sound is actually improved!
