Cyanoacrillate glues were invented as a surgical adhesive. Works well to do a first pass on crack repair as well.
I have a colleague whose reed well came loose in the oboe. He glued it back in place with cyano- glue and when he went to check the seal it hadn't completely hardened - he glued his lips to the oboe. Ouch!
