Re: Has anyone else ever tried copmaring a Loree vs. a Yamaha?

My professor plays a beautiful Loree and I play a Yamaha, and although the characters of the instruments are different, he and I really like both instruments. As with any other company, each different oboe is different--but he says that as the years have passed the Yamahas his students have brought in have been increasingly better and better. They are different in character, but they both seem lovely.
