Hello
Being a newcomer on this board, I don't know if the piece "Noble Tafelmusik" by Robert Delanoff already was evoked here. I was given lately the chance to hear this rather unknown Trio for flute, oboe and piano in a live performance where a friend of mine played the oboe. Both opening and concluding movements are very playful and lively, with in-beetween a stirring slow movement, spread over more than 6 minutes. Later on, I happened to find out about the existence of a CD recording released on the German Bayer Records label (reference BR 100 215 CD). As a matter of fact, this CD also offers a version of the "Tarentelle" by Philippe Gaubert.
The performers are:
Thomas Richter, flute
Gerhard Schnitzler, oboe
Monica Stöhr, piano
I do strongly advise this entertaining piece by Delanoff, a composer wwho was born in 1942.
