So I read that old wooden oboes played better because they have aged wood and it somehow makes the oboe sound wonderful. I don't know if this will be a right choice for me, but I'm thinking of A. Laubin oboe or a F. Loree Royal. So either I can wait 8-10 years for a Laubin with aged wood and awesome specifications. Or just get a Loree Royal with the 'new' unaged wood. Also, if I were to go for a Laubin, should I get the rosewood or grenadilla? With the Loree, AK bore or C + 3 bore, what's the difference? Also, do these 2 oboes have all the keys I will need/want? I'm too confused with all the fancy key names.
