Ahhhh! Decisions!

Well I know some of you would like to be in this perdiciment but there is a question here...

I am looking for a new professonal true full conservatory instrument to replace my larilee that now has a crack through the bore between the 1st and 2nd octive tone holes, and at this point is basically unplayable. I have never played a non "cracked" oboe. After the initial shock of how (relativly) easy to play a working instrument is I started evaluating the choices I have...

My major factor is the instrument must be full conservatory, i.e. all trills including split D, etc. I am basically looking for an instrument that I will NOT have to replace anytime soon. I am playing 6 - 7 days per week with two groups now. I have an open budget (well sort of) for the instrument, one advantage of working a normal full time job. On that note there are some instruments that are just overkill, i.e. loree royal, etc.

Well infront of me was 7 instruments, other than the obvious differences between the key systems, feels. I played each blind without looking at brand names to try and be unbiased as possable. They included
1. Yahama custom full conservatory (about 4500)
2. F Loree Model CR+3 (Royal), standard bore (about 5800)
3. F Loree Model AK+3 (Royal), AK wide bore (about 5800)
4. Patricola S6 "Evoluzione" (Price ?)
5. Fossati Soloist (about 5500)
6. Fossati Artiste (about 4300)
7. Buffet Greenline (about 5200)

There were also about 2 -3 full conservatory without a few trills, etc (i.e. terry)

I have a very discriminative ear and in the high end instruments I could feel some of the suttle differences in timbre, etc (within my ability to play the instrument that is). They all have beautiful sounds (well except one or two that I did not care for). Most of the instruments were fairly free flowing, quite low resistance overall, and were stable thoughout the octives, and fairly easy to keep relativly in tune.

Here is the question...

I found that other than slight variations in timbre most of the instruments are basically simular at this price point. Is there some more objective way to evaluate them? BTW I am really split between the Buffet, the standard Loree and the Fossati right now. I am afraid though that with in particular the 5k+ instruments that I am buying more than I need... it is just money though.
