Ooooo, good one GoodWinds!
=> my experience with doctors in general has been less than inspiring, but you still have to go through them....
Come to think of it, the men in my immediate family tend to hold our breaths a little bit after inhaling as a matter of course or habit. I don't know if this is a sign of muscle tension or what, but for sure it can't help with headaches and it has to be an obstacle to correct oboe breathing too.
I think you're the one who advised me - for breathing excercises - not to use staples when inhaling: you were right. In my case, at least, I've noticed that no matter how clear the airways are, inhaling quickly and fully is not as automatic as one would expect ..... swimmers are also taught to concentrate on the inhalation.
