Some english horn fun for today...
And for Robin, this was recorded in a different space, while standing with the mic chin-high, pointed toward the belt buckle about 3 - 3 1/2 feet away from my shoulders. The room, really rooms flow together and are is very assymetrical which reduces standing waves.
Its a mix of carpet, tile, glass windows and doors, spiral stairs, and 2 different heights for flat ceilings.  Hard to do the math on this room combination but it certainly randomizes acoustics compared to a rectangular room.
