Hi there, I normally post on the clarinet board, but I have started a new woodwind quintet that will be doing mostly paid gigs, and while I thought I had my woodwind quintet complete 2 weeks ago, the oboist I originally hired has not replied, and we are planning to start rehearsals and meetings in about 2 weeks. I already have lots of music I borrowed from the library, and am listening to more possible pieces on some CDs I got from the library too.
I am looking for an advanced student or professional female oboist (since I think the idea of an all female quintet is cool) and our proposed names are based on translations of "ladies" in a few different languages. The location is easily accessible by the TTC, about 10 min away from the Yonge-University-Spadina line near York Mills Station. (we get the space for rehearsals and performances at no cost since my husband is music director there.)
