I had the same problem on my old and new oboe. Both are professional models of which I handle with upmost care.

They didn't really drop out but I noticed that they were half unscrewed by themselves! I think it has something to do with moving rods as both were involving long rods.

I'm not really sure what causes this but this has cultivated a habit for me to check my oboe from time to time for any loose screws.
