Might be out of adjustment.........try pulling out the bottom joint so the bridge keys are disengaged then try right hand notes. If they work then you know keys are not closing on the top joint. Very simply every time you use your right hand it opens keys on the top joint......your second and third finger of the left hand should close these if the adjustment is right. If you have someone to help you....play a low note and have the other person gently close the small keys on the upper joint around A and B. If the sound is much better then you need to adjust the oboe.. ie adjustment screws. John
