Ann,

No, there was no floor plate. I believe the part that goes around the horn is plastic (it's been a couple of years). The web site that sells it is run by a professional bassoonist and oboe/EH player (2 people) and they were very good about answering my questions before I purchased it. Good luck, I hope this is what you were looking for.

By the way, the peg with the Marigaux EH worked well for me and I only got rid of it because I moved on to buy a new Loree and I now use the peg from Forrest's.
