I would like to understand why some reeds make an airy sound, by that I mean besides the oboe sound, there is the sound of wind coming through. Does it mean it is a leaky reed, reed not wound properly ? or just a reed not scraped properly so that it doesn't vibrate enough and the air just goes straight through making that airy sound ?
I know the problem is not in the oboe because other reeds are okay, i.e. no airy sound.
