Geez, where are you guys finding cork grease for 5 cents a tube? It's 69 cents from Giardinellis mailorder, and that's with a secret code from the catalog and not including S & H. And my local music store sells it for even higher. So, huh?
And it seems to go pretty fast. Maybe it's a softer cork grease? I put as much on as it seems to take to make the pieces of the oboe slide together without sticking. If some comes out the joint, that was "too much", I've got that much figured out. But I'm on my third tube in 4 months.
So where are y'all getting this super-cheap lasts-forever cork grease? Or is this a newbie whoosh? :D Like sending me to look for a left-handed monkey wrench?
