If there was a small spatula key fitted to the Bb vent (as it is on German oboes) then you'd be able to keep the Bb vent closed with LH2 or this kind of tremolo.

The only other system a clean F (or F#) to A tremolo is possible on is a thumbplate system as there's no linkage from RH1 to the Bb and C vents.

It's just one of those intervals where you have to be smart with your fingers in order not to get blips.

Any tremolos or intervals with any right hand note to A will have the risk of blips. If they're to B, then you can keep the C vent held closed by extending LH1 to hold down the spatula key and avoid blips.
