Thanks for all the advice! I figured I'd just repost here, in case any one else wants to comment.

When I roll the reed in for the high notes, they get up to pitch, but are very weak and thin and unstable. I don't know if it's a weak muscle issue or what. When I have my next lesson I'll ask my teacher to help me out.

About the puckering the lips, I was watching some professional oboists, and it seems that their lips are completely rolled in, with no red fleshy part showing. Also, it looks as if their lips are stretched back, rather than pushed forward. Any thoughts?
