Well. I've checked the springs around there, moved them around, and it doesn't seem to make any difference. This oboe seems pretty old though, and some of the springs really don't have much "spring" left in them. So I guess that may be the problem - they just aren't holding right. So I guess the only way to really tell will be to have someone else look at it. Thanks for the info though.
