I am hardly an expert, and I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along shortly, but...what I do when reeds close up on me is to wire them. I use 32 gauge silver hobbyist beading wire, take a couple turns loosely just at the base of the scrape (I've modeled this on Goodtoneguild's reeds, which are always wired). Then tighten it very, very gently until it plays right.
