 Re: leaving horns on stand?

I leave them on stands for up to a few hours but no more. My old hard rubber clarinet was kept assembled and on a stand for months with no problems at all, but I learned the hard way with an old Noblet 45 never to do this with wooden instruments.
The tenons and the ends of each joint are different thicknesses and of course swell and shrink as humidity and temperature change. I'll never forget the feeling of panic when I couldn't get it apart!

Steve
