There are several other boards and lists for oboists and doublereeders.
In addition to the present board, there is a double reed mailing list that is managed from this site. To subscribe, email "doublereed-subscribe@woodwind.org"
There is another mailing list run by the IDRS. It is probably the most active of the lists, but you have to be a member of the IDRS to join (which is not a bad idea at all, btw -- http://idrs2.colorado.edu/home/).
The IDRS also maintains a Forum, which is separate from the mailing list. Again, you have to join the organization to access this.
There is also another site that gets a fair amount of traffic at http://www.8notes.com/f/forum27.asp
As to the low traffic on this board, I suspect it might be because this board is a little bit difficult to find. I got it by Googling -- I knew of its existence because I am also a member of the Clarinet Board here.
