For a long time I used the no-name bocal that came with the horn. But I had heard that bocals can make a big difference, so I tried 13 different Hiniker bocals before I decided on one.
To tell you the truth, it made almost no difference at all. In fact, with some reeds, my lightweight, no-name bocal played better than my $350 Hiniker! Now that I'm being more particular about my reed choices, I do find that the Hiniker works better than the other, but overall I've found that the bocal doesn't really matter that much on this Linton.
