Ok, dying to ask, moving off topic, how many slots do you busy folks like to keep filled with blanks, new cut reeds, reeds still usuable but not in their prime any more, how many cases do you use and what's in them, i have a dozen system for band and personal use, but GoodWinds you say you nabbed 2 x 20 slot reed boxes?!?
Have found my biggest storage problem are all those reeds that are past their prime but not blown out yet, use them up for personal practice, but sometimes there's more than a baker's dozen of them still usable, and my dozen case usually has at least 6 blanks already lined up in there ...
Guess it's time for me to review my system, have 8 hours of committed ensemble practices & music lessons in the week plus extra for personal practice time coming up for this next year, figure that'll blow three reeds past their prime every 7-10 days, so dunno if my dozen reed storage system will be adequate, what do u think?
