There are some other good books out there; My Kingdom For A Reed by Theresa De La Plane, Making Oboe Reeds by Joe Shalita (available on line from his website & as hard copy from David Crispin on eBay) & Cheryl Wefler's book on reed adjustment (available from her website Cascade Oboe Reeds) Joe's book has audible crows embedded along with the text, which makes it unique. David Ledet's book Oboe Reed Styles has great backlighted photos of reeds from the great oboists of the world. There is gold to be mined from all these books: the ones I mentioned as well as those on Cooper's list above.
