 attempting oboe...

hi everyone,

i've been playing clarinet avidly for about 13 years and have always wanted to try oboe, so i've decided to start on that soon. i don't really have the option of getting an oboe tutor so unfortunately i'm going to have to teach myself and then keep my fingers crossed.
can anyone here recommend any good technical books for starters? even some good internet links would be helpful, i've found lots of sites on reed making (which i'm not going to attempt for a while) and oboe history, but i really just need some help with getting started.

thanks,
m
