As a returning oboist after many years, I have been sooooo frustrated with my reed choices. This list makes so much sense. I'm not ready to get back to my own reed making yet (four kids still at home and a teaching job!), but if I ever do I'll now know why some reeds sound better with some musical pieces than others.
Thanks for the insight!
