With conservatoire system you do have to be precise with your fingers(especially RH finger 1) with these intervals in order not to get 'blips', so practice playing repeated intervals such as C-A, C-G, B-A#, Bb-G and also playing larger intervals involving RH1 such as B to F#,E,Eb,D,C#,C and A to F#,F,E,Eb,D,C#, C slowly at first (and gradually building up speed) to get your fingers co-ordinated and avoiding the blips (which will be an unwanted C or Bb) in between the main notes.

Listen to a recording of the cor anglais solo in 'William Tell Overture' (but not a Vienna Phil recording as their cors are different, and also some UK orchestras where the cor player may be playing a pure thumbplate system cor - both cors don't have the linkage between the RH and LH main action for Bb and C) - the repeated triplets at the end (immediately before the trumpets come in) can often be heard with blips on the highest note of the triplets, though the player will be aware of this and try to avoid blips wherever possible.

You can avoid blips when playing in keys such as D Major and B minor (and other keys or passages without a C natural) by extending LH finger 1 across the top fingerplate and onto the small spatula key to keep the top joint C key closed to prevent any unwanted C blips.
