Usually I use clothespins. One summer I was performing the Bach oboe/violin concerto outdoors. I had pasted the pages onto thick paper, which was affixed together like a book, believing that it would be sufficient. In the second movement a gust of wind turned the page in the middle of a solo line. I continued on from memory until the conductor, who had noticed the page turning in the wind, reached over from the podium and turned it back for me.
