 F keys

Hi everybody

OK ... my next question of the fleeting moment ... what's best practice usage for this auxiliary F key (left pinkie key set)? This auxiliary key is new to me, and I'm OK already with regular F key or forked F's ... is it really, really useful for better playing further down the road?

Guessing it'll do as alternate C to F, or C# to F natural (or vice versa) intervals ... more useful as a trill key ... ? or is it more active in upper harmonic register? Whatsit best at?

Who likes and who loathes this extra F key and why?

Thanks
