Check out reed reviews for what oboists think of their makers:
http://www.reedreviews.net/

I'd recommend GoodToneGuild, Reedery, and Stuart Dunkel. They are reliable and functional. The bad side from my experience is that I think Goodtone mediums have a great sound, but have a crazy break-in period to be functional, Stuart Dunkel reeds can be quite bright and lack depth... they are like store-bought reeds that play in tune, Reedery reeds can be closed/sharp, but opened up with a mandrel (since they are being closed via pliers on the staple).
