after looking at the Nielsen website John linked to, I realized I have a knife very similar to if not exactly like the contoured version of the Nielsen knife. It's a great knife if you're only going to get one - it has the strength of a beveled blade with a finesse that approaches a double hollow ground.

In addition, I use a Landwell double hollow and a Landwell beveled. Landwell makes great knives, though they're definitely more expensive than the Nielsen knives. At the end of the day though, anything with a sharp blade is better than a dull superduper oboe reed knife.
