 (On conservatoire, dual system and automatic 8ve oboes)
 
 In the upper register where you get Bb-Cb (or A#-B), play high Bb as normal (8ve2 xxo|xoo) and the Cb above as 8ve2 xxo|xxo which is much smoother and less likely to 'blip' than playing the Cb (B) as 8ve2 xoo|ooo.
 
 And the upper register Fb-Cb (or E-B) interval can be played in a similar manner, switching to 8ve2 while lifting LH3 (on automatics it's done just by lifting LH3).
 
 Similarly, any interval from E-F# up to B can be done like this provided you play B as xxo|xxo.
