Author: cowtime  Date:   2008-01-30 02:26 The EE book I have is the 2000. I only have book 1 right now. It has a section with scales and arpeggios in the back. I found a Rubank book and worked out of it tonight. I liked the fact that I was playing things within a different scale(C) from the EE book(Bb). Changing around with books is certainly a good idea. I'm sure if I can hang in there, I will love being able to "interpret" the music.In fact it's ability to set a mood is one of the things I love about oboes. For now, playing the correct notes in tune,with the indicated dynamics, breathing and embouchure are about all my poor brain can handle. ( I'm not counting getting this poor old oboe to actually work correctly )
