I got the manager at Sam ash Vegas to ship me the display CSG III. Price was 2340. 2480 with tax. Beautiful brown not stained grenadilla. Has the low F/E correction key. Apparently the dry Vegas environment dryer out lower joint and keys are binding. Leaving case open and occasionally closing case with green snake sponge keys are slowly opening up. My local
Repair guy Thomas Ohme said it may take 2 weeks to stabilize. Pennsylvania is humid right now. Clarinet is beautiful brand new with no cracks. Limited playing I can say it has a bigger sound with a deeper sounding low register than my Yamaha 650.

Hi Tool,
I am on my second Yamaha CS Custom and it is the finest clarinet I have ever owned. You will like the CSG I am sure.
Congratulations on a great purchase.
Hank
PS I use classic Borbeck 16, a Portnoy BP02, or a SWS 2 mouthpiece. It just depends... All of these give me a huge sound.

I really love my 650 and really the 650 does all I need it to at my skill level but at the price I paid I couldn’t resist.

That IS a beautiful clarinet!!!! let me know if you want to sell it (I have a student looking for one of these at the moment, and the NZ Yamaha reps seem unable to bring one into the country!!!!!)

Toolaholic, just curious, but could you provide a photo also of the complete low e/f mechanism? Looks like Yamaha have made it right, with the low f vent hole placed above and not below the low f tone hole/low e key cup. Thus not the "half solution" of Buffet with their vent hole placed below the f tone hole, and thus just partially rising the low f. Credit to Yamaha for this!
