I'm hearing the VK1 is more flexible than European Cut for jazz, klezmer, etc. I'm also hearing it's unsuitable for large ensembles because of poor projection. More than one person mentioned inconsistencies between different VK1's of the same strength. Clarinet pros with YouTube channels seem to like it. Haven't tried it.
