Look at who is winning auditions.
Both Schifrin and Gilad have had many successful students, but I think you will find Gilad has the edge.
There is also something to be said for chemistry. I assume you have had lessons with both teachers. Did you get along better with one over the other?
Also, would you rather live in New Haven or LA? It's less expensive to live in New Haven (and it's relatively close to Boston and New York) but LA is more glamorous (but not the USC neighborhood, I'm afraid).
And then there's the weather...
What about playing opportunities outside of school (assuming we ever go back to live performances!). LA may have the edge here. As a former long-time resident of CT, I can tell you opportunities there are limited, especially for orchestral positions.
At any rate these are both great schools with successful teachers, so either choice should work out for you.
