OK, this is exciting because I just found this out and I was wondering if anyone has used this service.
Apparently Silverstein has been offering a reed replacement system for CANE reeds (designed and made in Germany). You buy as you need or subscribe to a monthly "worry-free" reed batch, and you can send back unplayable reeds, which Silverstein will then replace free of charge.
Say you buy 10, 6 are playable and 4 aren't. You send back the 4 unplayable and Silverstein will send you 4 new ones for free as replacements, and will keep sending them to you until your 10 reeds are satisfactory--within 30 days.
This seems too good to be true.
Anyone here has used this service?

I have an unsettled feeling about this "warranty". The only two places I found where you can buy these reeds are Amazon and WWBW. In their warranty, they want you to buy these reeds from "your local dealers". I couldn't locate any. They plainly state that only reeds purchased locally are replaceable.
Here's the warranty:

And, they are expensive!!!! 3 reed pack = $15; 10 reed pack = $45.
I believe one would have to write the company directly to find out where a "local dealer" is located.

I have used these reeds and the return/replacement system. You order them directly from their website and receive a return voucher with each shipment. Keep sending back until you have ten playable reeds.

Yeah, even if it were the most upright and straightforward system in the world, the standard really isn't "unplayable" if you perform much. If they're great, you can use them; if they're sort of OK, you can't, because they will at some point let you down in a conspicuous way. And anyway, there are other brands I like a lot better.
