Fingers

I am ready to upgrade to an intermediate/advanced clarinet. However I have large fingers and have always had to 'cork off' a couple of alternate keys. Can anybody advise me on a make model that has spaced keys that might assist me.

I have large hands and broad spatulate fingers. Every clarinet I have has some of the keys thinned to allow me finger room. For some people this is the only solution. I find that B&H keywork to be the easiest to play for me.

As Tony F suggests, a repairman can thin the two "sliver" keys. What other keys have you corked shut? Keys can always be modified to get the best compromise between comfort and function. Maybe better to find a clarinet with the sound tendency and response you like and then see what can be done with problem keys to accommodate your fingers.
