In the tenth measure of the opening solo clarinet part, there is a
![[G5]](http://test.woodwind.org/clarinet/BBoard/smileys/g5.gif) natural trill on a dotted eighth note which then goes to an eighth note triplet starting on ![[F6]](http://test.woodwind.org/clarinet/BBoard/smileys/f6.gif) . I had always thought the trill was from G to A flat, but searching Google images, most do not have a notation that the trill should go to A flat -- as the preceding trills in measures six and eight are marked from their respective notes. At least one image of an arrangement by Linda Maxey notes the flat.
 Which is correct?

The G-Ab trill is a doddle on clarinets fitted with either an articulated C#/G# key (trilling with RH2) or clarinets fitted with the C#/G# key extension (trilling with RH1) - you can trill with RH1 on the arch of the C#/G# key arm if you find trilling with your LH pinky hard work.

It is a half step trill.
Here is an example of the excerpt on my channel.
 Hope it helps.

 HI Chris

I would be interested in learning more about clarinets fitted with the C#/G# key extension (trilling with RH1).

Could you explain this further and do you have a diagram to share?

Stephen Fox offers an aftermarket C#/G# extension key that screws onto the key arm on most clarinets, so have a look on his site (scroll down the following page):
